With graduation season approaching, it only seems appropriate to dedicate a post to cake. With the inevitable onslaught of parties that will occupy the month of June, countless cakes will be at your disposal. The only problem is, it is highly unlikely that these cakes will accommodate food allergies.
So, here are some recommendations of some healthier cakes! This one is from Healthy Indulgences Blog:
What I love about this cake, besides how delicious it is, is the fact that it is made from black beans! Sounds gross I know, but it is a great way to get your kids to eat something healthy.
Made without flour, sugar, or dairy, this cake is low carb and is of course, gluten-free! Even bean haters will fall in love with this cake. This cake is vastly different from the previous one. Rather than being a rich, smooth, chocolate cake, this cake is light, fresh, and citrusy. Made with fresh blueberries and a little lemon zest, this cake is the perfect way to celebrate on a warm summer day.
It can be made using gluten free flour and it doesn’t contain eggs! It can be iced with plain yogurt or something sweeter, it’s up to you!
This last cake is super easy to make, in fact, the cheesecake filling can be made in minutes! What is even more incredible is that this cheesecake filling isn’t made from cream cheese, but instead is made from Greek yogurt!
This recipe also contains soy, found in the form of tofu, but there is a soy-free option as well. You can make your own Greek yogurt and crust, or you can buy them from a store. The possibilities are endless and you really cannot go wrong.
